This is really a continuation of our travels and represents our Sixth experience with Viking. Our first trip, in 2013, was a river boat cruise, The Cities of Lights, Prague to Paris. We became “hooked” on Viking and decided to cruise on one of their first ocean liners, The Star (now belongs to China). We did the Mediterranean Empire from Istanbul to Venice. In Venice, we realized we could have gone on to Barcelona so came back two years later, 2017, and cruised from Venice to Barcelona. We then took a leap and signed on for the World Cruise 2019. – 128 days of pure pampering and relaxation with great food, nightly entertainment, and even church services on Sundays – all while visiting 27 countries and 44 ports. Then in 2022, after a year-delay, due to the Pandemic, we traveled around the British Isles. This, however, is a “bonus” trip – one that neither of us ever imagined. We will be experiencing it aboard a Viking Expedition ship which is their latest addition. Our ship, the Polaris, is well-traveled already and we are thrilled to be on it..
